It really happened!

With the Orphanage Director

After almost 2 years we finally met our daughter Keira. What a day. We will write more about the experience in the next few days but just suffice it to say it was one of the most (if not the most) exciting moments of our lives. When she first came out she was very shy and tired but she let both of us hold her. She did not cry but was very aprehensive. We met the orphanage director and the nanny and found out she is a feisty girl and is naughty sometimes. UH OH.

Daddy

When we got back to the hotel Keira started playing with her new toys. She loves her singing froggie. She laughed and shook her rattle. She has a beautiful laugh as you can see in her You Tube video below. She loves to be tickled in her tummy.

Mama

She ate her special formula. They mix formula and rice cereal until it is like hot cereal and feed it from a bottle with the nipple tip cut off. She loved it. She also likes biscuits.
We signed the final papers and the adoption is finalized tomorrow. We've decided to keep her. A very easy decision.

The day ended with a spectacular laser show in the harbour with lasers shooting off the bridges and the hotels. All for Keira. What a day. What a spectacular day.

We couldn't be more thrilled with Keira! She is adorable and seemed to take to both of you naturally. We know that you are going to enjoy every minute of the time you spend with her. And, so will we. We can't wait to give her a big hug and a kiss!

Glad everything is going so well. Had a little problem posting to your blog because I've never done it before. But we've been following your progress and watched the video. China looks like a wonderful place. Keira seems to be acting just fine. Don't change your mind if she starts acting a little naughty as all of them do that from time to time, as you probably know. We're glad you decided to keep her and that we have a new neice, almost nearly officially now.
