Settling in for the long haul

Everything's going great. I'm so glad I brought the laptop. I have instant connectivity to the world. We are just relaxing now. We had a nice lunch. Chinese noodle soup and clear rice noodles. We've met 2 couples in our group. There are shops all around here geared to adoptive parents. We met this girl named Coco in a shop right next to the White Swan who asked Janet if she was Chinese. She was really nice. In fact someone told us before about her. They sell tons of those red chinese silk pajamas. THEY'RE ALSO GOING TO DO OUR LAUNDRY!!!

We went and bought a nice stroller for 20 bucks. We're going to bring it home and give it to my Mom and Dad.It's as good as the $100 one we have at home.

Tonight we're having a Thai dinner with the CHI group. Tomorrow at 4:00 PM at the Center for Civic Affairs in Guangzhou is the big moment.

We had a nice Thai dinner with the group. There are people from St Louis, Chicago, California and Kansas City etc. All very nice. One guy (Rod) from Nashville is an agent in the country music industry. The coordinators are all very nice and speak English well. We bought big water bottles because we don't want to drink the tap water. When we walked home at night there were 6-7 police on every street corner. This is a very safe area.
